reaktor connection query

hi

apologies if this had been covered before, as it seems it might have a really obvious answer, but for the moment i cant get my head around a fundamental issue in reaktor

i thought that for a controller to have an effect on a parameter it had to be connected with a 'wire'. i have been playing around with your really cool 'chance' sequencer which i love but i cant work out how the sequencer is connected to the audio oscillator which is included in the patch. what happens is when i press play, the sequencer sets off and triggers the osc

how is this working with no connection between the sequencer and the osc, and how do i connect the sequencer to a different synth?

I'm not in front of my Reaktor machine at the moment, but if I recall we are using IC SENDs (if not IC Sends then the MIDI Out module) to route without wires. IC Sends and Send modules both allow you to patch without wires. Does that help?

i was unaware of the internal control module - how sneaky!

however i could only find IC sends to the note number generation within your sequencer instrument

what i want to do is take the midi output of your excellent chance sequencer and control the midi note number, gate and velocity of my own synth, including sending out to a midi - cv converter - see this post:

so, my question is - where are the outputs for

a] midi note number
b] gate
c] velocity

ah. ok, just double checked. its just a MIDI out module in a macro named 'pg' (pitch gate) in chance. then, the synth is setup to look for MIDI in from Chance rather than from the outside world.

do this: click the wrench icon at the top of Test Osc to unlock the panel of the synth (test osc).
then: move the on button over a bit to the right.
then: click the In dropdown that appears at the top and you'll see internally chance is routed to the osc.

reaktor allows you to route MIDI internally easily this way.
